Been chasing independence all of my life Wasted lots of minutes, but it's worth the fight Let me write down my opinion Let me write it down Let me write down my opinion Can you show me how? I think we should go now I want you to know how It's alright to want in But think of the subtleties They happen so suddenly It's alright to want in Been chasing independence all of my life Wasted lots of minutes, but it's worth the fight Let me write down my opinion Let me write it down Much to my chagrin, yeah Let me write it down I think we should go now I want you to know how It's alright to want in But think of the subtleties They happen so suddenly It's alright to want in

Reflecting 01:58
You can't be kind all the way to the top You can't rewind when it's non-stop Just recline and let it pass Remember T-Rex said: "Life's a Gas" I'll take eternity Reflecting internally I've wasted energies that I've felt at some point, but can't redeem Go with me slowly Go with me slowly You won't be lonely You'll be the only Go with me slowly Go with me slowly You won't be lonely You'll be the only I'll take eternity Reflecting internally I've wasted energies that I've felt at some point, but can't redeem

Seeds 03:24
How could we have ever known How could we ask for this We don't know The seeds we've sewn Trading gold for shit How could we have ever known How could we ask for this We don't know The seeds we've sewn Trading gold for shit I was standing there With my head stuck in the sand Over and over again I heard commands I was standing there With my head stuck in the sand Over and over again I hurt my friend How could we have ever known How could we ask for this We don't know The seeds we've sewn Trading gold for shit

A Change 02:22
A change A change You can go and create obstacles You can go out and make it possible You can on and hide But you'll never know why They won't stop you They won't stop you A change A change You can and pretend it's optional You can go out and make it possible You can make yourself think That they'll never believe That's not up to you They won't stop you They won't stop you

Who Knows? 02:14
In a dull man's world Equipped to lose the game You took me for a whirl You know you drive me insane But who knows Where the time goes You say that time is pain You know that's not the same way I think I tend to believe I know that you have your doubts You know I'll figure it out "I believe this is the Wyckoff thing I think that they're trying to excite people" I'm getting to the core Through the ocean floor You know I will explore The other side of this war But who knows Where the time goes? You say that time is pain You know that's not the same way I think I tend to believe I know that you have your doubts You know I'll figure it out I know that you have your doubts You know I'll figure it out

Testimony 03:11
Don't you hurry It's still early Let it come to you Time to tune in Time to zoom out These times are never through Don't think that they don't Know much about you They know everything Resist from trying Turn off your mind And get back in the swing And we'll listen to folks With the brightest brains And we'll tell lots of jokes To make light of things Time to zoom in Time to tune out Forget everything Thought that we knew dear Thought we could see clear Time to think again And we'll listen to folks With the brightest brains And we'll tell lots of jokes To make light of things

Everybody's waiting for someone To let themselves out Everybody's looking for someone Apart from themselves now Don't go away Why you, why you wanna stay Let yourself out, yourself out, yourself out Don't go away Why you, why you wanna stay Let yourself out, yourself out, yourself out Tell me why Are you sentences so incomplete, yeah Tell me why Are you sentences so incomplete, yeah Tell me why Are you sentences so incomplete, yeah Tell me why Are you sentences so incomplete, yeah

about

After a decade hiatus, Triads are back with their 2023 album titled "Phosphenes". Still fond of their jangle-pop roots, "Phosphenes" reveals the trio's musical maturity by unapologetically exploring the uncanniness seldom found in pop music. The humming, droning guitar in "Brightly Lit Fog" accompanied with the probing croons from Michaelandroid, examine his consternation towards light and noise pollution. Moreover, the upbeat, whimsical instrumentation of "Reflecting" coupled with shameless dance moves seen in the song's music video, depict the band's credence of recognizing strength in vulnerability. Much like the band's long overdue revival, the themes of "Phosphenes" represent the importance of acknowledging the finite nature of life, embracing desires, examining the unknown, and breaking free from analysis paralysis. The 2023 album demonstrates how Triads have grown more comfortable in their skin as artists, musicians, and songwriters. As for the indie-rock trio, this is just the beginning again.
